Chapter 0: The Beginning of Everything
The mysterious power known as chakra has been the topic of a centuries-old argument regarding its unknown beginnings and its eventual discovery. Many argue that the power is said to be the energy of life itself, and as such, resides within every living thing, yet some find it highly surreal that it was only discovered thousands of years after the first human appeared in the world. Many have come to question the reality of chakra, and its source. It is with a great deal of selectivity that a human becomes capable of controlling this awesome power. Indeed, if not for the Sage of the Six Paths, none would be able to harness it, but even more importantly, none would be aware of it. Which begs the question... just who was this Sage? Was he Kami in human form or perhaps God's child, created for this eye-opening purpose? If so, why would God do such a thing as create chakra, or if it had been there all this time, why was it only the Sage that could use it and teach others how to do so in turn? Therein lies the question. Many shinobi have come to forget their mysterious heritage however. The Sage became a legend, and his legacy was only within the beasts he created to protect the world from the darkness itself. Indeed there is no one still alive to remember the mysterious foreign man, who brought about a change unlike ever seen before. Those who never fit in life finally understood why for there was a reason why an Uchiha couldn't settle down, why a Senju couldn't cut down a tree, why a Nara felt uncomfortable in the sun light and why a Kaguya wouldn't think twice about a broken bone. Shinobi were born. The balance of the world was suddenly curiously unhinged and indeed changed forever.
